This was a major disaster that occurred on July 17, in Kansas City, Missouri, killing people and injuring more than others during a tea dance. At the time it was the deadliest structural collapse in U.S. history. On July 17, , approximately 2, people had gathered in the atrium to participate in and watch a dance contest.
